Before I was her Husband...

...I was a bad gift giving boyfriend.  My wife, then girlfriend, was a secret fan of Hello Kitty.  I guess in retrospect it was a really bad idea, but then again we had just met each other and I had very little knowledge of what she liked.  So when Valentine's Day came around I bought her a Hello Kitty steering wheel cover.

It didn't have the effect that I had anticipated.  In fact, the mix of anger and laughter actually shocked me.  Nevertheless, it turns into a good story years down the road.  Apparently a good enough story to win some free flowers from the nice guys at DadCentric.

Learn from my mistake fellas, buy something she wants and not something she likes.  Happy Valentine's Day!
